Today is the Feast of St. John Neumann, a native of Bohemia who became the bishop of Philadelphia in 1852. There is much to celebrate and learn from the life of this humble and hardworking Redemptorist. St. John Neumann was fond of children and worked tirelessly to improve their education. As bishop of Philadelphia, he established the parochial school system in the United States. Let us remember to ask this local saint to intercede for us as we look for new ways to share the love and message of Jesus with our children in this age of advanced technology. Let us ask him to implore Our Lord to bless our children and our schools as we celebrate Catholic Schools Week from January 30 - February 5, 2011.
To celebrate this special week, we will be delighted to assist you in hosting a J-Club (J stands for Jesus) Book Fair at your school. For more details about this Catholic book fair, visit our J-Club website at http://jclubcatholic.org/book_fair/index.php or call us at
